A police officer, identified as Chinedu of the Elimgbu police division Diobu, allegedly stabbed one Nyebuchi to death at Atali/Elimgbu, Obio/Akpor LGA, Rivers State.

The victim named Nyebuchi from Eliowhani Community and an only son of his parents was stabbed on Thursday night by a police officer. Nyebuchi died before being rushed to the hospital. Reasons for the attack has not been known.
It was reported that some youths stormed the police station to protest the killing of Nyebuchi but they were dispersed when police officers reportedly shot sporadically at them.
It was also reported that Precious Gladstone and Turuchi were subsequently shot by the officers at Atali/Elimgbu Police station.
