The Vice-chancellor of the university of Port Harcourt, Prof. Onwunari Abraham Georgewill, KSC has given the sum of N10,000 to over 85 students of the institution.
The beneficiaries of this philanthropic gesture expressed immense gratitude to the number one citizen of the institution where they were full of happiness that this money will go a long in meeting up the payment for their school fees before the deadline.
The beneficiaries were carefully selected from various departments of the school on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 5pm at the Student Union Government Secretariat AKA Aluta House opposite Emmatex Restaurant, Abuja Campus saw a large number of students who queued up for the selection process.

In a press statement signed by the Executive President of the SUG, Comr. Gift Ubabuike and General Secretary, Comr. Uzoamaka Emmanuel, they thanked the Vice Chancellor for his fatherly care to the students where he also extended the school fees payment deadline to enable those students who are unable to meet up to be able to meet up so that they can be duly registered as students for this current academic session that began two months ago.
They also prayed for the "Almighty God to bless and replenish the Vice Chancellor in hundred folds for this kind act", the statement also said.
This is the second time the wonderful Vice Chancellor will be doing this noble act, the UCJ-UNIPORT recalls that the Vice Chancellor has given #10,000 to 48 students of the institution few weeks after he assumed office as the Vice-chancellor of the federal institution.
