Buhari Arrives Imo For The Commissioning Of Projects


President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Imo state to commission some projects by Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration. 

The President arrived at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport at exactly 11 am on Tuesday and was received by Governor Uzodimma and other leaders of the state.

Buhari was also welcomed by a crowd at the airport with most of them comprising men in red caps and white outfits. There were also women in traditional outfits dancing on the tarmac as the President arrived in Imo State.

The President is expected to commission the newly reconstructed Imo State House of Assembly Complex and also the 36-kilometre dualized Owerri/Orlu road and the first phase of the dualised 53-kilometre Owerri/Okigwe Road.



Some of the projects slated for commission include Naze-Nekede-Ihiagwa-Obinze Link Road Phase One, an underground tunnel on D-Tiger Road Owerri, the Egbeada Bye-Pass and the new State Executive Council Chambers at the Government House, among others.

Recall that governor Uzodinma had in a statement released last week Thursday appreciated the President for agreeing to visit the state and commission some of his projects.
